![]() The story was pretty good but definitely not the reason to play the game. The enemy design and variety lent itself to fun encounters where I had to think on my feet. It's pretty impressive how many new ideas are juggled in this game while still being really good. The other bosses don't work because they are basically walls with weak points that you shoot until they are dead. The only good boss is ones that becomes mini-bosses later, it works because it is like a more dangerous version of a regular enemy. The setting wasn't that compelling to me at first but the gameplay won me over eventually. The zero grav felt a little clunky, which they changed in the remake. ![]() The limited oxygen areas felt underdeveloped and just sprinkled in to have them, There was never a reason to upgrade oxygen or even have more than one oxygen tank. A lot of mechanics come from theming, like zero gravity areas and limited oxygen areas. The amount of ammo provided was often perfect for the encounters, making me feel like I barely had enough supplies to get through, in the second half I frequently used the store to buy more ammo, which I never did in a RE game. feels a little too easy in the first 6 chapters for playing on hard mode. 12h 12m PlayedThe gameplay is an evolution of RE4 with the limbs mechanic being a creative separation, a good atmosphere is created, it doesn't nail the pacing as well as RE4 but its combat flows better in the right encounters.
